A Nomad discovering a wonderful world
5 Mars 2013
I have been working in placing Africa in the map in Spain particularly and around the world for the last 20 years.
Since my first visit in Cote d'Ivoire back in July 94 I have been captivated by what Obama said recently as The Last Frontier on earth.
Some years ago when you were talking about doing business in Africa and offering some opportunities , you were viewed, the best as a Californian Gold-seeker of the XIX century or as a possible partner of one d those mailspammers where the widow of an old president has 20M € usd for you! if you just open an account.Yes.
It was really a pain on the A.. to explain all the opportunities that I had the chance to develop in publishing, advertising or internet but also in many other sectors that we were studying and portraying in our Business Guidesor in our sections dedicated to African countries.
Now , things have changed Africa is like Beyonce, everyone would like to meet her, talk to her and more if affinities of course. Today, almost every week I have someone intrigued about how I have been doing business in more than 20 countries in Africa, what do you think about this country Ghana? or Angola? or Algeria?
Well, first you need to loev such places it people and the continent and second you need to travel there and stay as often as possible and third something very important: Time concept is not the same, we have the Watch but there they have Time. Of course there are many more that we try to explain in our collection ofeBizGuides.
So now I am quite happy to see such great articles like this one in The Economist about Africa http://econ.st/10e3gdM , I haave been also doing this through my Magazine eBiz Africa Review for the last 3 years by talking about POSITIVE AFRICA and forget about Africapesimism relayed by the Grouchy Smurfs.
So from now on you can THINK ABOUT Africando!
