The present communication release serves as an official statement from World Investment News (from now on The Company) to inform current and former employees, collaborators, clients and suppliers both nationally and internationally of the following events:

After an internal investigation on a former employee, Harol Steve Verano Corredor (from now on HVE), The Company has found strong and enough evidences to start legal proceedings against HVE (former Financial Officer of The Company from May/2010 to march/2012). The cause of such proceedings are several very serious irregularities that have shown presumed illegal actions taken by HVE against The Company's collections, budget management and good name of The Company.

According to the evidences found, HVE may have been involved in the fraudalent collection of Company's payment of contracts through misleading The Company's clients to a personal Bank Account hosted at Deutsche bank (instead of The Company's). There are also evidences about possible mismanagement of The Company's investments in projects abroad and active negative comments about The Company that affected to the good image of The Company as well as presumably caused employees to leave The Company and Clients not honor their contracts with The Company.
The Company is also launching an investigation to see if there was any associate within The Company that helped HVE. This is why all information to be shared with WINNE will mutually beneficial.
