Leaving Kiev Behind

It has been an amazing journey here in Kiev and in Ukraine in general- I would like to thank all my dearest Ukranians friends who helped so much during this stay, starting by Sasha and Yulia who have been helping us in all our issues, and of course Andrei our dearest driver there in lovely Odessa and I will not forget my professor of Russian, Larissa who came everyday for 1h30 to teach me some russian.

Here from Kiev and Ukraine in general,I will leave behind me great souvenirs and memories but also some more knowledge about this amazing land, as big as France and with 46 Millions people, depsite having lost around 6 M in the last 18 years, this figure is amazing, I have calculated it and it means 1 M every 3 years, or 333m every year or almost 1000 person everyday migrating to other destinations. Of course when you see this figure you may think that this country is going through a high depression, in a certain way it has been the case but in other way it shows you also how Ukrainians are not afraid to look after new horizons, they will find new solutions despite having tough times since the collapse of Communism. In fact, here I can see what my friend meant when he said to me the worst thing about communism is what comes just after.

Other things I will leave behind me here in Ukraine are the beautiful monuments and city building you can enjoy in Odessa and Kiev, with their lovely pastel colors that do not match with the overall atmosphere but it make it much happier.

The story about the creation of Kiev with the "3 brat" Kiy, She and Joriv , those 3 brothers created this city according to the scripts Hilarion and Nestor-

Also the fact that here the high society in the past and nowadays still studying french as it is much more sofisticated than english or other languages, and this make me positive about the Francophonie future!

And also the person who created the alphabet was a bulgar called Cyrilio and ofc ourse the language became Cyrilico, more or less like today you had Bill Gates creating a language but it is called windows instead of Gatic- So many beautiful thing that I will try to show you though this last video here at Michailivsky Cathedral Square today.
